Basic Anatomy & Figure Sketching

To-do-list:
  1. Draw a portrait of your classmate on a piece of A3 paper.
  2. Then using a sheet of A4/A3 tracing paper, draw out the skull of the figure.
  3. Using photos of your/others' expressions, create a drawing which at least contains 3 expressions. This is to be done on A3 drawing paper.
They are to be handed in during the next lesson, which is 3rd Feb, after Chinese New Year.

As for the sketchbook, the requirements are:
  • A total of 100 sketches
  • 50 life sketches or lines of the human form. You can head outdoors to a cafe or a park to observe passerbys to do them. When doing lines, please try to complete a posture within 5 mins before heading to a next one. These are to be done using pen.
  • 20 human sketches with lightning and shadows observed.
  • 30 free topic sketches, though it's advised that you stick to drawing abstract human form/design/realistic sketches.
Do note that the min. size required for the sketchbook is A5. So it's not necessary to get an A4 sketchbook, though it's all right if you already did so.
